Project Case Studies

Typical high-speed connectivity projects across automotive, medical and consumer electronics.

Automotive · IATF 16949

In-Vehicle Center-Console LVDS Harness

ChallengeThe customer needed a differential-signal connection between the center display and head unit in a very tight space, with high/low-temperature resistance, vibration resistance and batch traceability.
SolutionJCE customized the LVDS harness to the vehicle structure, matched connectors and shielding, produced engineering samples, and completed insertion-loss, eye-diagram and high/low-temperature validation before pilot production.
ResultA reusable harness structure and inspection standard were established, supporting later vehicle-platform expansion. Client name omitted under NDA.
Medical · ISO 13485

Low-Noise Cable for Patient Monitoring

ChallengeThe monitoring device showed signal noise in a complex electromagnetic environment. The customer wanted better shielding and flexibility without changing the enclosure structure.
SolutionJCE adjusted conductor stranding, shielding and connector grounding, provided multiple sample comparisons, and applied ISO 13485 process control and batch records.
ResultThe low-noise cable solution was validated and moved into pilot production and mass-production evaluation. Client name and specific test data omitted under NDA.
Consumer Electronics · USB4

Full-Feature USB4 Docking Cable

ChallengeThe docking project required 40Gbps data, PD power delivery and video output in one cable, plus retail packaging and private-label branding.
SolutionJCE configured the E-Marker chip and USB4 cable structure, provided USB-IF certification support, and customized length, jacket, logo, color box and multilingual labels.
ResultCertified samples and retail packaging were completed, ready for volume delivery. Client name omitted under NDA.

What Every Project Has in Common

The same discipline applies whether the project is automotive, medical or consumer electronics.

Assess before prototyping

Interface, structure, certification requirements and annual volume are confirmed before samples are scheduled, avoiding repeated trial-and-error.

Test data with samples

Insertion loss, eye diagram, TDR, EMC and other test reports can be provided with project samples for customer validation.

Mass-production consistency

IQC / IPQC / FQC and SOP / SIP controls help maintain batch-to-batch consistency from pilot runs to volume production.
