Apple Thunderbolt 4 Cables Compared: 1 m vs 1.8 m vs 3 m

Apple Thunderbolt 4 Cables Compared: 1 m vs 1.8 m vs 3 m

Thunder interfaces are more widely used by apple computers, and apples have introduced multiple lightning-3 data lines of varying lengths that facilitate user access to high-resolution monitors or extension sites. Three thunder-4Pro data lines appear to have only end lengths, with a different length of coil than the sale price, and the rest are identical in appearance design. The three data lines were dismantled separately to see how the three lightning-4 Pro data lines were different within them.

Apple Thunderbolt 4 Cables Compared: 1 m vs 1.8 m vs 3 m

Packaging

Good, but expensive. Apple 1 metre, 1.8 metre, 3 metre.

The boxes of the three lines of apples are broadly designed in such a way that they can be seen on the face of apple logo, cable appearances, with an indication of length and convenience.

Appearance

The three lightning-4 Pro data lines are all black crochet designs, and the visual feeling is very strong and good.

Line Overview

The same is true for the three data linehead designs, which use plastic material casings, surface duds processing, and all of which have the classic lightning marking of lightning wires.

PIN Footprint

It's full of PIN inside the USB-C head.

Thread close

The same process is used for woven coats of data lines, which are woven with fibers, which are not hairy and resistant to wear and tear.

Length

The length of the Apple 1 metre Ray 4 Pro data line and 1.8 metre Ray 4 Pro data line was measured as nominal, while the 3 metre level 4 Pro data line was measured as 298 cm less.

Thin diameter

Apple 1 metre Ray 4 Pro data line diameter 4.78 mm, 1.8 metre Ray 4 Pro data line diameter 5.51 mm, 3 metre Thunder 4 Pro data line diameter 5.03 mm.

Weight

The net weight of the Apple 1 metre thunder 4 Pro data lines is about 56 g, 1.8 m thunder 4 Pro data lines about 77 g, and 3 m thunder 4 Pro data lines about 164 g.

Internal structure

Front Layout

Apple 1 metre ray 4Pro data lines are passive lines, Apple 1.8 metre thunder 4 Pro data lines and 3 metre thunder 4 Pro data lines are designed using the same active line endpoints, and all three data line endpoints are taped and glued, but 3 metre Rays 4 Pro data line is covered by a stand-alone shield with an axis welding position, adding a process to reduce signal transmission interference.

Back Layout

The 1-metre data line is welded on the back side of the axis, and the two active cables are designed with the exact same end-head design, with the front welding of the same axis used for the transmission of the thunder signal, the back welding of the power lines, the USB data lines and the support cable.

Feet.

The three data lines of different lengths are plating with thick gold, yellow colour, durable oxidation and longer useful life.

The cross-section.

The layout of the three data lines is the same and is increasing with the length of the cables. As can be seen from the cross-section pictures, the 3-metre long thunderstorm 4 Pro cable centre is designed to reduce the loss of long-range transmissions of electricity by thinning the outer surface and thicker the wire core.

For work.

E-Marker chip

Apple 1 metre long Ray 4Pro data line E-Marker chip from British Flying, type CYPD 2103A, with Cortex-M0 CPU with 48 MHz main frequency and 32KB flash and 4KB SRAM.

Both Apple 1.8 and 3 m long thunder-4 Pro data lines are internalized using the CYPDC 1186B2 CCG3PA2 interface controller, which incorporates the Oprah-specific M0S8 technology, including the ARM M0 processor, the two-way 64KB flash and 8KB memory.

ReTimer Chip

Apple 1 metre thunder 4 Pro data lines are free of Retimer chips, while apple 1.8 and 3 metre long data lines are both based on the Intel JHL7040 Retimer chip, which is used to reassemble signals and mitigate signal shaking. The application of the Rediver chip can yield better results in reducing physical wear and tear, as well as improving the quality and stability of the transmission of the mine telecommunications.

Power cores

The 1-metre data line is used for power transmission using 4 tin plating copper wire and 6 for power transmission using both 1.8 and 3 m.

Data line core

Each of the three data lines uses the same coaxial cable process, one of which, for example, uses a pure copper-plated silver shielding net, entangled in the outer layer around copper plating and plastic insulation. The internal core uses a transparent insulation layer for silver-plating cables. Silver plating reduces electrical resistance and reduces the loss of cables in transmitting high frequency signals and enhances signal transmission capabilities.

Product Performance

Electricity/data transmission capacity

Chargerlab POWER-Z KM001C was used to measure apple 1 metre thunder 4 Pro data lines as passive lines, with power transmission capabilities of 20V5A and data transmission capabilities of 40Gbps. 1.8 m and 3 m Ray 4 Pro data lines are active cables, power transmission capabilities are 20 V5A and data transmission capabilities are USB 4 Gen3 (40 Gbps).

Summarize the data lines of Apple 1 metre, 1.8 metre, 3 metre lightning 4

Finally, a comparative table of the three lightning lines of apples is attached to facilitate comparison of the differences between the three products.

Apple 4P data lines are designed with the same look, black end, knitted threads, and show a professional quality. As can be seen from the dismantling of the comparative articles, the three data lines show only differences in weight and length.

In the breakdown comparison, it was found that the 1-metre long data line was designed with passive cables, with the same active line design for 1.8-metre and 3-metre data lines, and with the British CYPDC 1186B2 USB-C controller, with the Intel JHL 7040 Retimer retimer chip. Of these, 3-metre-long lightning-4 Pro data lines are designed to reduce electrical resistance with a polar core and thicker, and to reduce interference by covering the shield at the welding of the same axis.

Of these, one metre long data line is using four arctic cores, 1.8 metre data lines are using six arctic cores and three metre data lines are using six thicker arctic cores. It appears that three metres of work is better than three metres of work, in fact to meet the signal quality and resistance needs of three metres of length. The length of the purchase is chosen according to actual needs and no blind selection of the 3-metre section is required.
